Pvt. Coss Dies Of Pneumonia
Private Edgar L. Coss. 27, of Ashland died of bronchial pneumonia in Italy on Dec. 30, his wife was informed last evening by telegram from the adjutant general. He was with the Fifth army.
Mrs. Coss was informed a week ago by telegram from the same source that her husband was seriously ill. That earlier message stated he was in Eighth Evacuation hospital.
A V-mail letter from him, dated Dec. 22 stated he had a cold. But that he felt better after his first warm shower in three weeks.
Private Coss was inducted into the Army on February 20, 1943. He received his basic training at Camp Wolters, Texas and went overseas in July.
