Private funeral services will be held Monday for Pvt. Martin W. Keener, 11, who died Thursday March 13, 1943 of infantile paralysis at Beach Brooke General hospital, Fort Sam Houston, Texas
The services will be held at the home of his parents, Mr. And Mrs. Guy F. Keener, off the Middle Rowsburg road at 3 p. m. Monday
The body will arrive in Ashland tomorrow afternoon
Rev. F. W. Brown will be in charge of the services and burial will be made in the Savannah cemetery. The Gilbert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pvt. Kenner, 19, was born in Lakewood. He was inducted into the Army last August 9 at Cleveland and was sent to Fort Hayes, Columbus from where he was transferred to Camp Fannin, Texas. He was in Co. C, 56th Bat., 12th Reg., I.R.T.C.., U. S. Army
After attending Ashland High School for three years, he completed his high school course at Riverside Military School, Gainesville, Ga.
