John C. Brubaker
Private J. C. Brubaker Was Killed In Action In France


Private First Class John C. Brubaker was killed in action in France November 25, his wife Glenna, 415 West Liberty Street, has learned from a War Department telegram. He is the 50th Ashland countian to die while in service.
Inducted November 27, 1942, he took basic training at Camp San Ramon, Cal., and then was stationed in Oakland and Berkeley before going to Camp Phillips, Kansas. After a short time at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland, he went overseas in July and touched England before going on to the continent.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Brubaker of New London, Pfc. Brubaker went to school in Ruggles and was later employed by the A. L. Garber Company.
