World War 2 Guy Wise Pvt. Guy Wise Is Killed In Action On Luzon Mrs. Mildred Wise received word from the War department yesterday afternoon that her husband, Pvt. Guy E. Wise, 21, was killed in action on Luzon on May 4, 1945 Inducted into service on July 1, 1944, Pvt. Wise, a graduate of Ashland high school, class of 1941, was engaged in farming at Sullivan, and went to Camp Fannin, Texas, and Fort Ord, California for training before being sent overseas. He is the son of Mrs. Bessie Wise of Seventh street. His wife and three year old daughter, Linda Sue, live at 224 West Twelfth Street. Pvt. Wise is the 83rd Ashland county fatality of the war. transcribed by Russ Shopbell contributed by Shirley Boyd
