Dr. Kidwell Dies At Great Lakes


Dr. Charles C. Kidwell, in the U.S. Navy a little over a month, died Saturday, March 13, 1944 at the McIntire Dispensary, Great Lakes Navel Training Station, Great Lakes, Ill. Death was due to pneumonia.
Dr. Kidwell was born in Columbus July 22, 1909, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Kidwell. He was 34 and had been a resident of Ashland for six years. An optometrist, Dr. Kidwell had been associated with Dr. C.W. Wharton.
He was married to Fay Weaver, August 25, 1934. Survivors include his widow and a daughter, Joyce Ann, 147 Maple street; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Kidwell, 486 Maynard avenue, Columbus; a brother James D. Kidwell of Highland Park, Ill. And a brother, Kenneth Kidwell of Columbus.
