Rita's Notes about the maps

    Lake Township's western line is against the eastern line of Green Township.
    Lake's eastern line lost what is called the one mile strip (one section, north to south)
    It stayed with Wayne Co when Ashland was formed in 1846.
    The bottom section of Lake (two sections, east and west) went to Holmes Co.
    Mohican Township southern line is against Lake Townships northern line.
    Mohican also lost that one mile strip like Lake Township.
    Mohecanville (old way of spelling) is in Mohican Township.
    Petersburg is what Mifflin in Mifflin Township use to be called.
    Jeromeville is in Mohican Township.
    Rawsburg is really Rowsburg and is in Perry Township.
    Vermillion Township's southern line sets with the northern line of Green Township.
    Vermillion's northern line sets along Montgomerys southern line.
    Savannah Academy is still standing - possibily painted dark red.
    Savannah is in Clear Creek Township and Savannah Academy was in this village.
    Bushnell in downtown Ashland and stood to the east of Gilbert's.
    Troy is in Troy Township
    Orange is now called Nankin and is in Orange Township
    Jackson Townships southern line sets against Perry Townships northern line.
    The southern line of Sullivan Township is against the northern line of Jackson Township.
    Perrysburg is now Albion.
