Ashland County Chapter of The Ohio Genealogical Society
The Ashland County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical
Society was formed to create and build interest in preserving
and collecting all genealogical and historical records relating to the early settlers of Ashland County and vicinity.
Meetings are held at 6:30 pm, the third Tuesday of each month except December.
Chapter members gather in the airconditioned lower meeting room of the Ashland Public Library, Claremont Avenue in Ashland.
Family information is shared and many fine guest speakers present topics to help
aid in the search for ancestors. Workshops geared to the beginning researcher are held in January and February.
All meetings are open and free to the public.
The Ashland County Chapter encourages Sharing genealogical finds with other Ashland researchers. The ASGS is a not for profit charitable
organization operated solely for educational purposes.
They encourage gifts of real and personal estate from any source for the benefit and perpetuation of the purposes of the organization.
Passing information on the next generation of genealogists is a wonderful way to honor a family memory. These may in some cases be tax deductable.
